First 18th Lok Sabha Session Begins; Cabinet Ministers Take Oath As MPs

In the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior leaders took oath as MPs. This marks Modi's third term, retaining the Varanasi seat since 2014. As the Leader of the House, he was the first to take the oath. Key cabinet ministers also took their oaths, including Rajnath Singh from Lucknow, UP, Amit Shah from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and Nitin Gadkari from Nagpur, Maharashtra. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal retained his North Mumbai seat and BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia from Guna, Madhya Pradesh.
