As the Leader of the House, he was the first to take the oath. Key cabinet ministers also took their oaths, including Rajnath Singh from Lucknow, UP, Amit Shah from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and Nitin Gadkari from Nagpur, Maharashtra. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal retained his North Mumbai seat and BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia from Guna, Madhya Pradesh.
