The Supreme Court on Friday granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal till June 1 in the liquor policy case. The court has directed the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to surrender on June 2, a day after the conclusion of the seven-phased Lok Sabha elections. The AAP leader was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21. His senior party colleagues, including the Manish Sisodia, who had to step down as the deputy chief minister, have been arrested in the case. However, the top court denied the request of his counsel to grant him interim bail till June 4. The court said the CM must surrender to the prison authorities by June 2.
