Anant Ambani’s passion project Vantara is a 3,500-acre expanse in Gujarat's Jamnagar Refinery Complex. It is the world's largest animal rescue, rehabilitation and conservation centre, where more than a million animals have found solace. Vantara is structured around four key pillars: rescue, rehabilitation, revival, and rewilding. Each of these components contributes to the sanctuary’s mission. It is here that 1.5 lakh animals who have been abused, abandoned, or left vulnerable, have found solace. And more than 2,400 of their caregivers have found their life's purpose. To inaugurate such a pioneering initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Vantara and saw first-hand how Anant Ambani has created a Sevalaya - a sanctuary of service where every rescued animal receives care, dignity, and protection.
