The Ministry of External Affairs on September 21 responded strongly to the allegations levelled by Canada on India’s link in Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s killing. MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that, “Canada is gaining the reputation as a safe haven for terrorists, extremists.” He also added that the allegations are politically driven. The tension between the two nations escalated when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged Indian involvement in the assassination of Khalistani leader Nijjar in Surrey in June this year. #Canada #IndiaCanada #JustinTrudeau
