Why is 'Binod' trending? Know all about Indian Twitter's latest viral trend

For the uninitiated, the 'Binod' memes started when a video about weird comments was uploaded on the YouTube channel Slayy Point.

The latest inclusion to Twitter’s bizarre trends that often result in hilarious bouquet of jokes and memes is 'Binod'. In this trend, users use hashtag Binod to call everything or everyone 'Binod' leaving the rest perplexed.

For the uninitiated, it all started when a video about weird comments was uploaded on the YouTube channel Slayy Point. The video captioned “BINOD. Who is Binod???” lists all the weird comments the content creators of the channel receive on their videos. And, one such comment that has received several likes was 'Binod' from a person with username Binod Tharu.

Twitter users sensed the situation’s potential and soon grabbed the opportunity to share all sorts of hilarious memes and comments using the name as the hashtag.

Even before it trended on Twitter, Binod memes found itself on Reddit, in a special sub-Reddit group. Acknowledging the overwhelming success, Slayy Point also changed the description of their account as 'Founder of BINOD', welcoming members of 'Binod Army'.
