In a pre-wedding video that's taken the internet by storm, a police couple from Hyderabad has managed to capture both hearts and headlines. The captivating two-minute video, which features the police couple's romantic escapade within the precincts of a police station, has ignited a frenzy across social media platforms.

The viral pre-wedding shoot starts off with the police officers, clad in uniform, meeting at the police station. The rest of the video is the couple singing and dancing in picturesque locations and in the city.

While some applauded their passion and including their work in the pre-wedding video, others raises concerns about the misuse of authority. Amid the buzz, IPS officer CV Anand offered a perspective, acknowledging the couple's enthusiasm while admitting to feeling a tad embarrassed

Anand took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on the viral video. He wrote, "I have seen mixed reactions to this. Honestly, they seem to be a little overexcited about their marriage, and that's great news, though a little embarrassing. Policing is a very, very tough job, especially for ladies. And her finding a spouse in the department is an occasion for all of us to celebrate. The fact that it's two police officers, I find nothing wrong in them using the police department property and symbols. If they had informed us earlier, we would have definitely given consent for the shoot.”

He also cautioned that such videos should be made with prior permission.

“Some of us may feel outraged, but I feel like meeting them and blessing them, though they didn't invite me for their wedding. Of course, I advise others not to repeat this without proper permission,” he added.

The officer tweeted the video, originally shared by Deccan Chronicle, with his thoughts on X.

Anand's response highlights the challenges faced by women in the police force and emphasizing the need to celebrate love and camaraderie within the department.

The video itself, which appears to be professionally crafted, features a mesmerizing slow-motion dance sequence, showcasing the couple's chemistry and affection for each other. Apart from the police station, they venture into iconic Hyderabad landmarks, including the historic Charminar, in their music video.

The couple in the video, Ravuri Kishore and K Bhavana, got married in August.

Some users have condemned what they see as a brazen misuse of power, questioning whether such activities should be allowed within the police force. Others, however, argue that the south Indian cinema industry, affectionately known as Tollywood, could take inspiration from the cop couple's creative approach to celebrating their love.

“Congratulations to the police couple for getting married. Nice wedding shoot. God Bless them for a very happy life ahead. After all, police are ready to die in discharging their duties and serve the society and I suppose there is nothing wrong in what they did but for not fulfilling a ritual of seeking permission from authorities,” one user wrote.

“Good gesture, hope no one else repeats the same and department issues guidelines,” wrote another to Anand.
