Mark Zuckerberg wakes up at 8 am, daily routine includes Taylor Swift songs

Mark Zuckerberg said that among the first things he did after waking up in the morning was check his Facebook account.

Every top-level professional across various industries strives daily to ensure that his organisation stays ahead of competitors and maintains its position in the global market.

But have you ever wondered how these professionals stay physically and mentally fit in order to perform with the same level of consistency? Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently offered a glimpse into his daily routine, which involved waking up at around 8 am, performing activities such as Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) training and learning the lyrics of Taylor Swift songs.

"The first thing I do is look at my phone. I look at Facebook to see what's going on in the world. It's a pretty sad situation to be honest. I have contacts and I can't see very well. And before I put my contacts in I often look to see what is going on Facebook," Zuckerberg said in a Facebook Q&A.

Zuckerberg had said in an interview to Forbes magazine in September that he did not like to stay up late at night and had the habit of responding to emails after waking up in the morning.

"I don't stay up super late at night. I'll wake up and there will be a bunch of emails. Usually, people aren't emailing me about things that are going well. It's a very diverse set of things that are breaking across the company."

"I'll respond to a bunch of emails in the morning and have a bunch of time to do that. But then I want to be able to show up to work and be able to push forward," Zuckerberg said.

Additionally, Zuckerberg  is also fond of MMA training. "I just love this (MMA) sport. It’s so primal and lets me be my true competitive self," he said.

Zuckerberg's wife Priscilla Chan revealed that the 39-year-old CEO was learning the lyrics of Taylor Swift songs. "Recently it’s been learning every lyric of the Taylor Swift songs," Chan said.
