The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) may be languishing at the bottom of the points table in the ongoing 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL), but they remain one of the revered and followed teams in the competition.

RCB's fandom is not restricted merely to Bengaluru or to India, but has spread overseas as well, as was seen recently when a student brought a RCB jersey on stage during a graduation ceremony at the University of Michigan in Dearborn, United States.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), one of the students could be seen waving an RCB flag before another student comes on stage with the RCB jersey and shows it to the gathering before shaking hands with one of the dignitaries present at the ceremony.

A Hindustan Times report identified the student who showed the RCB jersey as Likhitha Suggala, a hardcore fan of former skipper of the franchise Virat Kohli and as per her LinkedIn profile, revealed that she had informed one of her teachers about taking up the teaching profession over becoming a software engineer since she wanted to build "100 more engineers".

"One of my teachers asked me why I wanted to become a teacher instead of a software engineer. I replied, "I could become an engineer, but I want to build 100 more engineers, and that's possible only through teaching." I still remember the pride in his eyes," she wrote on the social networking platform on Wednesday.

RCB have four games left in the group stage and take on Gujarat Titans on Saturday.
