The big Bollywood movie release of Diwali 2023 was the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer "Tiger 3" that was released in theatres across India on Sunday, with critics praising the action sequences and Khan's performance in the film in the initial reviews that were shared on the opening day.

However, some Middle East countries such as Kuwait and Qatar could be deprived of the experience after reports emerged that the film might have been banned from screening in these nations.

A report in the Siasat Daily said that a key factor behind the ban on the film could be because of the negative portrayal of Muslim characters. Other reports said that the India-Pakistan narrative in the story may have been the reason behind the ban.

"Tiger 3" is the third installment in the franchise after "Ek Tha Tiger" that was released in 2012 and "Tiger Zinda Hai that was released in 2017. Both movies were blockbusters at the box office, with the former laying the foundation for Yash Raj Films "Spy Universe", which also includes "War" (2019) and "Pathaan" (2023).

Actor Emraan Hashmi has essayed the main antagonist role in the film that also has Ashutosh Rana and Revathi in supporting roles.

On Saturday, the actor had urged his fans not to reveal the spoilers of the film as it could ruin the movie watching experience for others.
