DMK leader TKS Elangovan on Saturday, reacting to the special CBI court's order on all 17 accused, said that the party will fight the charges in the 2G scam in court.

He also said that the party will seek bail for its MP Kanimozhi, who has been charged with criminal breach of trust under Section 409. "Denying bail to those accused is wrong as all the accused have the right to get bail," he said.

While former telecom minister A Raja has been charged with cheating, criminal conspiracy, forgery, accepting illegal gratification and criminal breach of public trust, Kanimozhi has been charged with accepting bribe, abetting a public servant for receiving illegal gratification and abetting a public servant in criminal breach of public trust.

Kanimozhi's father and DMK chief M Karunanidhi arrived in Delhi on Friday and met UPA Chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Saturday. Elangovan, however said that the meeting was a courtesy visit to inquire about Sonia's health and not a political meeting.

Kanimozhi has been lodged in jail for almost six months and has been denied bail. The court will resume hearing on the bail applications of various accused, including that of Kanimozhi, from October 24.
