The noose is tightening around Tamil Nadu's first family in the 2G spectrum scam case. Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sources say Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief and Tamil Nadu supremo M Karunanidhi's daughter Kanimozhi is to be questioned before the March 31.

The CBI has to file the chargesheet by March 31 in the 2G spectrum scam case.

However, Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal is unlikely to be questioned since she's believed to be a "sleeping partner" without much knowledge of the transactions related to the scam.

Kanimozhi and Dayalu Ammal own a stake in Kalaignar TV, a channel that was transferred crores of rupees by DB Realty. The investigating agency has already carried out searches at Kalaignar TV Managing director Sharad Kumar's residence. The CBI has already arrested DMK leader and former telecom minister A Raja, his key aide RK Chandolia, former telecom secretary Siddhartha Behuria and DB Realty's promoter Shahid Usman Balwa.
