A daughter’s angry post after Flipkart delivery man lashes out at her father

A woman has vowed never to order from Flipkart again after a delivery executive for the e-commerce company lashed out at her father over a delay in communicating the one time password (OTP) at the time of delivery.

X user Ishwari detailed her unpleasant experience with the e-commerce company in a post shared on the microblogging platform yesterday. She said her father ordered something from Flipkart but was not able to find the OTP on his phone at the time of delivery. The OTP typically needs to be relayed to the delivery executive to ensure the product does not fall into the wrong hands.

In this instance, instead of waiting for a few minutes, the Flipkart delivery executive lashed out at the elderly man, saying “Kuch aata nahi hai toh order kyun karte ho! (Why order stuff if you don’t know how to do anything!)”

“Dad ordered something from Flipkart and he wasn’t able to find the otp on his phone so the delivery guy got angry at him and said ‘Kuch aata nahi hai toh order kyun karte ho!’” Ishwari relayed. “Never ordering anything from them again. This is not how you talk to customers.”

“Being rude to the elderly is the worst thing one can do. Customer or no customer one should have basic respect at least,” wrote one person in the comments section, to which Ishwari responded: “Exactly! I felt so angry when I found out what he said to my dad.”

Others also called out Flipkart’s poor customer policies.

Flipkart does so much scam and then don't give you your money back. So poor customer service.
Better to buy from other appliances.

Being rude to elderly people is one of the worst one can do. You can lodge a complaint or rate him low in feedback. It must be Ekart logistic issue, you can use Flipkart tho....deals are great....

Flipkart also responded to the post and said the company takes such incidents very seriously. “We take such incidents very seriously and are deeply sorry to hear about the executive's misconduct. Give us a chance to fix this by sharing your order details via DM to keep your Flipkart account information safe,” the official handle of Flipkart support tweeted.
