However, there are numerous policy indicators and some tax tweaks that make it interesting to decipher in the context of the financial services sector. The Budget announcements touch all major players in the financial services sector, including banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, debt financers, venture capital and angel investors and participants in the capital markets and commodity markets. Succinctly put, the FM appears set to undertake a major financial sector regulatory overhaul along with a whole new approach to attracting foreign portfolio flows into India.
