Instagram is reportedly working on adding support for Apple's App Clip on the platform. App Clips are small parts of an app that let users experience a small portion of the app without having to download it.
According to 9to5Mac, the latest beta for Instagram available through Apple's TestFlight on iOS, introduces support for the feature. Through an Instagram App Clip, users will be able to watch Reels in the app's native interface without having to download the full app.
Also read | Meta is reportedly working on Chat Lock for WhatsApp WebThis also works if someone sends you an iMessage with a link to an Instagram Reel, instead of prompting the user to download the app from the store, the Reel will instead play in Instagram's native interface using an App Clip.
