Priyanka Gill, a co-founder of content-to-commerce unicorn The Good Glamm Group, has decided to step away from managing daily operations of the startup’s media business, Good Media Co, to join early stage venture capital firm Kalaari Capital as a venture partner.
Gill has been a founding board member for Kalaari’s CXXO initiative dedicated to support female founders. With this transition, she will now head this initiative to enable more female founders in the startup ecosystem.
She will also continue to be a co-founder of The Good Glamm Group, where she is being elevated as the chairperson of Good Media Co. She will continue to advise on strategic and investment matters of the company.
Kalaari Capital was an early investor for both Gill’s women-focussed digital media startup POPxo and the Good Glamm Group. POPxo was acquired by the Good Glamm Group in 2020, following which she joined the startup as a co-founder and was heading the media and content business of the startup.
The Good Glamm Group is yet to announce a new CEO who will replace Gill at Good Media Co. This transition was in the works for the last 12 months, the startup said.

“As Chairperson of Good Media Co, I am invested in assuring the pivotal content-to-commerce flywheel that built the Good Glamm Group continues to perform even better,” she said.
“Priyanka has played an extremely instrumental role at Good Glamm Group… For some time now, Priyanka has been helping me through our investments and strategic initiatives and we are thrilled to announce Priyanka's elevation to the Board of Good Glamm Group and her new role as Chairperson of Good Media Co,” Darpan Sanghvi, group founder and chief executive of Good Glamm Group, said.
“I am equally excited for Priyanka to join our friends at Kalaari Capital and am confident that Priyanka will continue to make valuable contributions to the success of the Good Glamm Group and leave an indelible mark in her new role at Kalaari Capital.”
Prosus Ventures-backed Good Glamm Group has four verticals: The Good Brand Co, including all its beauty product brands like BabyChakra, St Botanica, and MyGlamm, The Good Media Co, involving media platforms like ScoopWhoop, POPxo, MissMalini, Tweak India, The Good Creator Co, which is about social media and influencer platforms, wherein the company has acquired video commerce platform Bulbul, and The Good Community, a community built around its various brands and needs of members.
Good Glamm Group is backed by Prosus Ventures (Naspers), Warburg Pincus, Alteria Capital, L’Occitane, Bessemer Venture Partners, Amazon, Ascent Capital and the Mankekar Family Office.
The startup became a unicorn in 2021 at a valuation of $1.2 billion after raising $150 million in its Series D round. It has so far acquired around 12 brands across its four verticals, including product and content companies.
