Boston-based medical startup, GyroGear has launched the GyroGlove, a hand-stabilization device for people living with Parkinson's disease.
Parkinson's disease is a nerve disorder that affects the nervous system. Over time, as the disease worsens, it can cause limb tremors, stiffness and laboured movement.

The GyroGlove uses a module with a gyroscope to counteract the tremors caused by the disease. The device is intentionally designed to be bulky and large, to make it easier for people with hand tremors to grip it, and use the glove for control.
It is powered by lithium polymer batteries that the company says can last four hours of continuous use. Some testers have reportedly said they can two days of moderate use on a single charge.
The glove is made from soft fabric and has a battery pack and stabilization module placed on the forearm. GyroGear says that the gyroscope inside the unit spins four times faster than a jet turbine.
The battery pack has large buttons for easy control and a screen on the front that displays the battery percentage and allows users to interact with glove functions.
The glove is available to buy right now in the US and costs $5,899 (Approximately Rs 4,90,000).
