Suzuki teases production-ready S-Cross

February 07, 2013 / 12:45 IST

Suzuki is ready with a production version of the S-Cross concept for a Geneva debut as is evident from the teaser image released by the Japanese car maker. Showcased first at last year's Paris Motor Show, the production vehicle varies a bit in its design from the concept one. Suzuki has now put up a traditional grill in the front in contrast to the sweeping lines seen on the concept. The LED lamps which were previously on the bumper have now been moved up to just being under the headlamps. The production vehicle though will still come in that weird green colour showcased in Paris.

Underneath the weird skin, Suzuki may offer a choice of petrol and diesel engines. On the list will also be a 4-wheel drive system with Suzuki promising that the S-Cross will have the same nimble dynamics as the Swift. It also promises the biggest cargo space in its class.

What does this hold for us? While we are not sure of the S-Cross making it to India, we are sure that the refreshed SX4 could very well draw inspiration from it.
