Apple is reportedly gearing up to release the next generation of AirPods and AirPods Max by the end of this year.
A Bloomberg report said the next generation AirPods will be redesigned with a shorter stem, a new look for the earbuds and a new charging case.
The American tech giant will update the audio quality of the buds as well but the base model may be released without Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), the report said.

The more expensive Max will feature ANC and its charging case will house a speaker that will play a sound using Apple's Find My app.
The Pro earbuds might use an updated chipset, the H3. Apple will also include USB Type-C ports in the new models and support wired audio playback. They are also likely to ship in new colours.
