Penguin India gets Nokia and iPhone app

August 23, 2011 / 11:54 IST

Penguin Books India has launched an app for Nokia and iPhone users. It is a mobile portal for information on all books published and represented by Penguin Books India. The app is free and can be viewed on mobile screens of all sizes. The app presents information on books that are 'Just Released' and 'Bestsellers'. Books that are labeled 'Coming Soon' have excerpts that can be viewed only within the app. There's also a news section, which has the latest ongoings in the publishing world and an events section where you can check out events in your city. The 'Stay Connected' section takes you to Penguin updates on Facebook, Twitter, as well as its YouTube videos.

The app showcases all of Penguin's fiction and non-fiction books, which means you can use the app to find books from business and management, politics and current affairs and memoirs, to fun, feisty Metro Reads, MindBodySpirit books, books for children and young adults and Penguin’s Hindi books.
