HTC launches HTC Explorer at Rs 11,650

Handset maker HTC today launched its new Android-based mobile phone HTC Explorer priced at Rs 11,650 in the country.

Handset maker HTC today launched its new Android-based mobile phone HTC Explorer priced at Rs 11,650 in the country.

One of the cheapest Android-powered smartphone in HTC's range, HTC Explorer is equipped with a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 3-MP camera and 600-MHz processor.

"HTC Explorer is an easy-to-use smartphone that puts the customer in control, providing quick access to their most important content and information," HTC Corporation President (Global Sales and Marketing) Jason Mackenzie told reporters here.

The smartphone comes with the company's HTC Sense technology, which provides users sharp graphics, vibrant animations and a variety of widgets.

The handset also includes a customisable lock screen enables quick access to the camera. The handset also supports Adobe Flash.

The HTC Explorer will be available across key markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa region and Asia from fourth quarter 2011.

The company has also partnered with telecom services provider Vodafone to offer subscribers data plans and the offer is valid up to December 31.

Users would get 200 MB data usage for Rs 100, 1GB for Rs 375 and 2GB for Rs 650.
