Nikon 1 V1 and J1 cameras announced in India

Today, at an event held in Mumbai, Nikon announced their new digital imaging system and put forth two new models, namely Nikon 1 J1 and the Nikon 1 V1. The new Nikon 1 system claims to blend in superior image quality, speed and portability, and the models were unveiled by Nikon’s brand ambassador and Bollywood superstar, Priyanka Chopra. The Nikon 1 according to the company is a whole new category catering to users who want light-weight cameras that capture and share high quality images and videos effortlessly. The Nikon 1 J1 with 10-30mm VR kit lens is priced at an MRP of Rs.29,950 and the Nikon 1 V1 with 10-30mm VR kit is priced at Rs. 43,950. Both models are slated to hit Indian stores, somewhere around next week.
