After Apple first took the wraps off its iPad, the tablet war began. Almost all leading manufacturers, irrespective of the products they have been building, started serving their take on the tablet. While India has seen a rise in the number of low-end tablets, the number of tablets globally may decline. Sources from Upstream supply chain point out that PC hardware manufacturers like HP, Acer, AsusTek and Dell may slowly phase out from the tablet market, as they don’t seem to have advantage over content provided by Apple, Amazon and Barnes & Noble, according to reports by Digitimes
