Mahindra & Mahindra today reported 17 percent rise in total sales to 52,718 units in March as against 45,124 units sold in the same month of last year.
In the domestic market, sales were up by 21 percent to 48,815 units last month as against 40,278 units in October 2014.
Exports were up 28 percent at 4,019 units as compared to 3,146 units in the same period a year earlier. Sales of passenger vehicles, including Scorpio, XUV 500, Xylo, Bolero and Verito stood at 21,030 units compared with 23,433 units in March 2014, down 10.25 percent.
However, exports were up 10 percent at 3,115 units from 2,828 units in the same period a year earlier. Sales of passenger vehicles, including Scorpio, XUV 500, Xylo, Bolero and Verito stood at 18,103 units compared with 19,308 units in February 2014, down 6 percent.
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) had sold 37,897 units in the same month last year, the company said in a statement.
