In an order to ease movement of vehicles as well as to improve north-south connectivity, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is constructing a project that will be 10.58 kms long, originating near the Princess Street flyover, close to Marine Drive, that will bend at the Bandra Worli Sea Link.
Chairing a meeting of infrastructure projects committee of his cabinet, the CM asked them to undertake the construction work within a month.
In a Government Resolution, the state has pegged the project cost to be around Rs 7,502 crore and its length is estimated to be about 17.17 kms.
The Maharashtra government has not yet taken any decision on scrapping contract with Reliance Infrastructure for the Worli-Haji Ali sea-link but will decide on the fate of the project after a committee dealing with the issue submits its report, public undertakings minister Jaydutt Kshirsagar said
