Virat Kohli, the renowned cricketer and owner of the One8 Commune restaurant in Bengaluru, finds himself in a spot of legal trouble after an FIR was filed against his establishment. The police took action because the restaurant allegedly continued serving customers past the permitted closing time of 1 am on July 6th.
According to an FIR filed at the Cubbon Park Police Station in Bengaluru, the establishment was found serving customers at 1:20 am, violating the mandated closing time of 1 am on July 6, reported News18.
The addition of One8 Commune to the city's vibrant culinary scene is sure to be a hit, providing a new hotspot for locals and visitors alike.
In the now-viral video shared by a user named Sandy on X, the man claimed that he was refused entry into the upmarket restaurant due to his attire. He said that after checking into JW Marriott Hotel in Mumbai, he rushed to One8 Commune in Juhu as he was starving.
While cricketers have gone on to win hearts with their feats on the field, their debut in hospitality is often met with failure.
