Riyadh has been wooing Baghdad as part of an effort to stem the growing regional influence of Iran, while Iraq is seeking economic benefits from closer ties with its southern neighbour.
"The kingdom is prepared to utilise its spare production capacity when necessary to deal with any future changes in the levels of supply and demand," a cabinet statement said following a meeting chaired by King Salman.

During the call, the two leaders discussed ways to continue advancing shared priorities, including enhancing security and prosperity in the Middle East, the White House said.
The two leaders spoke by phone after Saudi Arabia and its regional allies severed diplomatic ties with Qatar accusing the tiny Gulf nation of funding Islamist groups.
During the phone call, Trump underscored that a united Gulf Cooperation Council is critical to defeating terrorism and promoting regional stability, the White House said.
