Aamir Khan's team has responded to the controversy surrounding a viral poster showing the actor as Guru Nanak, labeling it as "fake and AI-generated." The Imran Khan government released a video showing Sikh pilgrims going to a gurudwara with the backdrop of a poster in which three prominent militants who were killed in the firing in Golden Temple in 1984 were visible. This is clearly an attempt to revive memories of the days of militancy.
