The apex court says records contain a description of Guru Nanak's in Ayodhya, where he had visited birthplace of Lord Ram. The evidence that helped strengthen the Hindu side’s claim to the disputed site was the visit by Guru Nanak Dev in 1510-11 AD.

The Imran Khan government released a video showing Sikh pilgrims going to a gurudwara with the backdrop of a poster in which three prominent militants who were killed in the firing in Golden Temple in 1984 were visible. This is clearly an attempt to revive memories of the days of militancy.
The domestic and international political one-upmanship is inevitable around a project of this scale but it should not even remotely offend Sikh sensibilities.
