The market has again entered a trading area or zone where it is too volatile to take any kind of directional call. The floor or the support price for this zone seems to be at 5900. Market experts see this as a sign of the market uptrend getting exhausted. The Sensex on Wednesday closed at 19,948.73 and the Nifty at 5973.30.
The cabinet has approved fixing a floor or minimum price of Rs 14,000 crore for auction of telecom spectrum.
The government has decided to set the floor price of ONGC’s auction sale at Rs 290 per share. The govt is likely to raise Rs 12405 crore at the floor price by offering 42.77 crore shares. The floor price is 2.3% premium to the current market price.
