The protesting farmers have also announced a foot march to Parliament on February 1, when the annual Budget is presented, to press for their demands including a repeal of the three new agriculture laws.
Despite being shunned by farmers' organisations, Sidhu has been reportedly attempting to take a leadership role in the protest. He appeared at Singhu border a day ahead of the planned tractor march of January 26 and gave a call to hold the tractor march 'inside Delhi'
Farmers at SInghu border earlier alleged that police were stopping them and asking them to take a route not previously agreed on.
