Sushma Swaraj ideal PM candidate: Bal Thackeray

In an interview given to his party's mouthpiece 'Saamna', Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray has lavished praises on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushma Swaraj and said that she would make an ideal Prime Ministerial candidate from the party.

"Sushma Swaraj is a smart, brilliant choice for PM candidate. She is hard working, she will be the right choice for PM candidate," said Thackeray in the interview that is bound to revive tensions within the party and its coalition National Democratic Alliance (NDA) over the issue.

Sushma had recently met Thackeray when she visited Mumbai as part of her campaign against the Centre over the coal blocks controversy.
