A new way to buy premium phonesGoogle has introduced the Pixel Upgrade Program in India, allowing customers to get a new Pixel smartphone every year by paying a fixed monthly EMI starting at Rs 3,333. Instead of holding on to one phone for years or worrying about resale value, users can keep upgrading regularly with predictable monthly costs. Available now, with key partnersThe programme is live from today and will run until June 30, 2026. It is being offered in partnership with Cashify, Bajaj Finance and HDFC Bank, and is available across select offline retail stores in India. Google says the goal is to make Pixel ownership easier and less stressful. How the upgrade cycle worksCustomers can buy select Pixel models on a 24-month no-cost EMI plan. After paying at least nine EMIs, they become eligible to upgrade to a newer Pixel. Unlike typical exchange schemes, this programme offers an assured buyback, as long as the phone powers on and passes basic functional checks. No loan closure headacheIf users choose to upgrade between the 9th and 15th EMI, Cashify credits the remaining loan amount directly to their bank account. This helps close the existing EMI without any pre-closure charges. Customers are then moved to a fresh 24-month no-cost EMI plan for the new Pixel. More value with bonuses and subscriptionsThe programme covers the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Enrolled users also get an exchange bonus of up to Rs 7,000 from Cashify. On top of that, Google is bundling free trials of services like Google AI Pro, Google One Premium, Fitbit Premium and YouTube Premium, depending on the model.
