'Jaish admitted India’s strike on its HQ': PM Modi hails Operation Sindoor at Madhya Pradesh rally

Terrorists from Pakistan carried out the Pahalgam attack, but our jawans destroyed their hubs in Pakistan. This is the new Bharat, unafraid of any nuclear threat, the Prime Minister asserted.

PM Modi marked his 75th birthday with the visit, his second celebration in Madhya Pradesh after 2022.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who turned 75 on Wednesday, launched a sharp attack on Pakistan during a public rally in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district. He said that India’s armed forces, during Operation Sindoor in May, had brought the neighbouring country “to its knees” and asserted that the nation would never bow to nuclear blackmail.

“Just yesterday, the nation and the world witnessed another Pakistani terrorist tearfully narrate his ordeal. This is a new India. It fears no one’s nuclear threats,” PM Modi said, stressing that the country gives top priority to its security.

The Prime Minister was referring to a recent viral video in which a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander, Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, is seen lamenting the death of 10 family members of the outfit’s founder, Masood Azhar. The video surfaced last week, when the JeM publicly admitted to the losses it suffered during the Indian armed forces’ surgical strikes on terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

“After sacrificing everything, on May 7, Maulana Masood Azhar's family was torn apart by Indian forces in Bahawalpur,” Kashmiri can be seen saying in the public event.

PM Modi said Pakistan’s lies on terrorism have been laid bare. “Today, the whole world has seen how terrorists from Pakistan themselves have accepted the truth, how Jaish terrorists have exposed Pakistan. They admitted that India’s strike destroyed their bases,” he added.

“Terrorists from Pakistan did Pahalgam, our jawans destroyed the terrorists’ hubs in Pakistan. This is the new Bharat, it does not fear any nuclear threat,” he noted.

Ghar mein ghus kar maarta hai (we strike inside their home),” PM Modi declared.

He also remarked that the JeM's public confession further confirms what India had been claiming for years, that Bahawalpur is the hub of Jaish operations, despite Pakistan’s denials before international watchdogs.

The Prime Minister, recalling the Indian Army’s cross-border operation, said, “Pakistani terrorists removed the Sindoor of our sisters and daughters. We did Operation Sindoor and destroyed terror camps. Our brave armed forces brought Pakistan to its knees within the blink of an eye.”

Indian armed forces, on the intervening night of May 7 and May 8, struck nine terrorist bases and training camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, including the JeM headquarters in Bahawalpur.

PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the country’s first Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district. On the occasion, he also launched the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar’ and ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’ campaigns from Dhar, aimed at strengthening health and nutrition initiatives across the country.
