Saket court staffer dies by suicide at judicial complex, cites work pressure

According to reports, Harish Singh worked as a lower division clerk at Delhi’s Saket District Court.

A staff of the Saket court committed suicide by jumping from a building in the complex on Friday afternoon. Police have recovered a suicide note.

According to reports, the man worked as a lower division clerk at Delhi’s Saket District Court. In his suicide note, he cited work pressure and mental stress as the primary reasons for taking the extreme step.

"As per the investigation conducted so far, the court staff committed suicide. A suicide note has also been found. Further details will be shared shortly," police said in a brief statement.

Identifying himself as Harish Singh Mahar, he wrote that "he was ending his life due to office work pressure and the mental pressure he had been facing for years". In the suicide note, he wrote about experiencing suicidal thoughts which he had not shared with anyone.
