Human skull, blood-stained soil, bones: Police recover human remains from Thane house, investigation underway

News18 reported that a person noticed what looked like human bones and other remains in a house inside a chawl in Maharashtra's Thane and alreted the police on January 3.

In a horrific case that has emerged from Thane, the police have found human remains from a house.

News18 reported that a person noticed what looked like human bones and other remains in a house inside a chawl in Maharashtra's Thane and alreted the police on January 3.

The police then reached the spot and found a skull resembling that of a human being, bones, some clothes, sandals, bracelets, a wire hair ring, hair samples and blood-stained soil from the premises.

After a directive was issued a district medical officer in the area, the remains were sent for forensic examination at JJ Hospital.

Meanwhile, News18 also reported that the police have registered a case of accidental death and a detailed probe in the matter is currently underway.
