Delhi Dwarka crash: 23-year-old Sahil Dhaneshra killed months before UK studies; minor driver granted interim bail

A 23-year-old BBA student, Sahil Dhaneshra, was killed in a head-on collision in Delhi’s Dwarka on February 3, allegedly involving an SUV driven by a 17-year-old boy. Sahil had secured admission to an MSc programme in Luxury Fashion Management in Manchester and was preparing to move to the UK.

Police booked the minor under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and he was later granted interim bail as he is a Class 10 student appearing for exams. Sahil’s mother alleged that a “fun reel” stunt led to the crash, calling it “criminal activity,” while the accused’s father said he was unaware his son had taken the vehicle and would cooperate with the probe.

Devendra Fadnavis government scraps 5% Muslim quota in Maharashtra jobs, education
