The Aam Aadmi Party stole the march against the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party when it became the first party in Delhi to release its first list of candidates for the coming Assembly elections. The party, which is hoping for a historic third consecutive term in power in the capital, is banking on its freebies such as free water and electricity and free travel for women, and schemes aimed at female voters and senior citizens to help it tide over the BJP challenge.
Some of the key candidates fielded by the party include former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi, incumbent CM Atishi from Kalkaji, and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia from Jangpura, among others.
