Zerodha founder Nikhil Kamath has launched a teaser of his upcoming podcast episode featuring Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, setting social media abuzz and prompting speculation over whether the clip is genuine or AI-generated.

Nikhil Kamath shared a short 39-second black-and-white video on X (formerly Twitter), appearing to show him and Elon Musk inside what looks like a factory setting. The two are seen casually sipping coffee, exchanging glances and eventually breaking into laughter. The clip quickly went viral, garnering millions of views within hours.

Posting the teaser with a playful caption — "Caption this" — and tagging Musk, Kamath hinted at Musk’s appearance on his podcast “WTF is?”, leaving audiences eagerly waiting for the full episode.

The video, however, triggered mixed reactions online, with many questioning whether the footage was authentic.

Watch the teaser:

"Is this AI?" one user asked. Another wrote, "Nikhil Kamath, man, getting Elon on board, you have just hit the peak of podcasting."

A third user commented, "Two people who’ve shaped entire industries in tech + finance sitting together. Musk’s companies now drive over $800B in market cap and Kamath runs India’s largest retail brokerage - no surprise this convo has everyone watching."

Kamath’s “WTF” podcast has previously featured a wide range of high-profile guests, including Microsoft founder Bill Gates, biotech pioneer Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla, Perplexity AI CEO Aravind Srinivas and venture capitalist Vinod Khosla.

One of its most notable episodes was an interview with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, released earlier this year.
