Partaking in the discussion on Union Budget in Lok Sabha, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party saying the party believes in creating a 'chakravyuh, whereas the Congress believes in removing 'chakravyuh'.
Rahul slammed the BJP and PM Narendra Modi while drawing a parallel between Mahabharat's 'Chakravyuh' in which Abhimanyu was killed. While targeting BJP, he said that in “chakravyuh” of the 21st century, PM Modi, Amit Shah, Mohan Bhagwat, Ajit Doval and a few corporates control this “chakravyuh”.
Reiterating Congress' firm resolve to break BJP's 'Chakravyuh', Gandhi said the caste census is the only way to break the prevailing discriminatory, unjust 'Chakravyuh' in the country. The LoP confidently said that the INDIA block is systematically working to dismantle the 'unjust' power structures in the country.
Rahul alleged that the presented budget is only meant to aid a group of people and is bound by three main elements: financial power, institutions which include the ED, CBI and Income Tax Department and finally political execution.
"Chakravyuh has 3 forces behind it. First is the idea of monopoly behind it, that a few corporates should be allowed to own everything in India. One element is financial power. Second element is the institutions, agencies (CBI, ED, I-T Dept) and the third element is political executive," he continued.
"My expectation was that this budget weaken the power of Chakravyuh. But the sole aim of this budget is to strengthen the framework of big businesses, monopoly businesses, political monopoly which destroys democratic structure. This Chakravyuh has attacked the SMEs through deMo, GST and Tax terrorism," he said.
Gandhi, 54, also touched upon the burning issue of NEET paper leaks. "Paper leak was not spoken of by FM Sitharaman. The youth feels this is the most imp issue but was not addressed even once. The education budget money is now at 20-year low, at 2.5% of GDP," stated the LoP.
