A nine-seater aircraft operating between Rourkela and Bhubaneswar crashed in Odisha on Saturday. The aircraft, operated by IndiaOne Air, was en route to the state capital when the incident occurred.
The aircraft reportedly ran into trouble moments after takeoff and came down near the airstrip area.
No casualties have been reported so far, though some of the passengers have sustained injuries. Emergency teams have rushed to the site, according to a report by News18.
A team from the tourism department is also expected to arrive from Bhubaneswar to assess the situation.
Authorities have initiated the process of investigation to determine how and under what circumstances the aircraft crashed. Officials said an official confirmation on the cause will be possible only after the probe is completed, according to India Today.
