Mindteck (India) Limited (BSE: MINDTECK), a global technology company, was among the select group of technology companies invited to make presentations on Smart City related ICT solutions at the Smart City Solutions Workshop held in Kolkata on 29th October. The event was jointly organized by the Government of West Bengal and the global trade body NASSCOM. Attendees included Senior West Bengal Government dignitaries, urban development officials, as well as senior designates from NASSCOM.

Technology leader Dr. Pradeep V Desai, and Mr. Harish Nair, Mindteck’s VP Sales-IMEA, presented an overview of Mindteck’s smart city solutions featuring Smart Street Lighting and Smart Parking. The company’s Smart Street Lighting engagement resulted in record reductions in energy consumption and CO2 emissions for a UK-based utility company. Their recently unveiled Smart Parking solution, for which they shared a demo, is an end-to-end solution providing a robust, reliable and cost-effective way to both detect and manage car parking occupancy. It uses field-mounted Wi-Fi IP-based cameras for both outdoor and indoor parking.
