Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW), a world leading professional membership organization, is all set to congratulate its Scholarship holders of 2014 –15 on 27th October, 2015 in Mumbai. The convocation ceremony will also witness a panel discussion wherein eminent guests namely Sid Banerjee (MD at Credit Suisse Bank), Jamil Khatri (Partner at KPMG) and Milind Kothari (Managing Partner at BDO India) will discuss the role of a chartered accountant in managing growth during turbulent times. James Crabtree from Financial Times will be the panel moderator and Mr. Shirish Apte, Former Chairman, Citigroup (Asia Pacific), will be the respected Chief Guest.

Today, almost every senior finance position is taken up by Chartered Accountants where they need to make decisions and instil confidence in their team members to manage complex real –life situations and successfully swim through the set of responsibilities.  In such a competitive state of affairs, it helps to have a sagacious edge over the other Chartered Accountants out in the industry. Designed meticulously for working professionals, the ICAEW qualification gives an extra edge to the Chartered Accountants who want to thrive in their respective organizations. The course, conducted by ICAEW’s Partner in Learning, Get Through Guides, offers a well-rounded experience of global business strategy and provides the participants with the added confidence needed to take on greater roles within their organisations.

Justin West, Head Business Development, ICAEW said, “The ICAEW exams construct a skill set that slightly differs from the Indian CA qualification as regards to lateral thinking, professional communication and analytical skills. They are planned to test abilities where candidates have to apply their knowledge to the given scenario and reach a conclusion based on certain assumptions.”

Deepak Parekh, Chairman, HDFC Ltd and also an ex-ICAEW student highlighted, “I owe my solid foundation in the world of business and accounting to the training and guidance by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. This foundation has helped me build strong ethical businesses across India. The opportunity for you to gain skills through ICAEW should not be missed.”

Vandana Saxena Poria OBE, CEO of Get Through Guides and a Fellow of the ICAEW adds, ‘ICAEW sees Chartered Accountants as the backbone of any company.  CAs need to understand where the financial numbers come from and how those same numbers can be used to improve efficiency, effectiveness and performance. ICAEW delivers on this globally.’
