Average inflow of chilli crop increased marginally to ~55,000 bags across major trading centers while spot rates declined close to Rs 82-Rs 85 per kg, based on crop quality.Arrivals of jeera increased to about 4,000 bags while trades too were up above 5,000 bags at auctions held at Unjha market. Spot rates were up on local demand, while futures closed in positive on bargain buying around 1-year low. India's MG I ASTA grade pepper parity rate stood around $7,500-$7,600 per ton FOB basis, as compared to other producers, who are selling at low price around $7,100 per ton to high around $7,900 per ton FOB basis, as per market reports.Spot rates of pepper garbled increased to Rs 343 per kg and that of un-garbled was up at Rs 328 per kg. Arrivals were down at 10 tons & trades were down to 10 tons at Kochi market, as per IPSTA. The total production of pepper in the CY2011 has been lowered by 17,230 tons to 318,000 tons from 335,230 in CY2010, as per International Pepper Community's revised estimates.Turmeric arrivals declined to about 500-700 bags at Nizamabad, but increased to about 14,000 bags at mandis of Erode, as per local traders. Average price of small cardamom declined to Rs 489.6 per kg, while the maximum price offered was down at Rs 638 per kg. Total inflow of small cardamom crop declined to 42 tons from which about 39.4 tons were sold at GHCM auction.Arrivals of soya bean crop declined to about 835-9lakh bags across major trading centers, with majority of inflow seen at MP market and across mandis of Maharashtra. Spot rates of soya bean seed Indore (ex-mandi) closed at Rs 20.5 per kg while that of Mustard seed Rajasthan closed up at Rs 30.3 per kg, as per sea of India.Guar seed crop arrivals increased to 32,402 quintals, while the average of the closing spot rates was down at Rs 3,958.4 per quintal, as per agriculture marketing board of Rajasthan.
