Blinkit rolls out 10-minute ambulance service in Gurugram. How to avail it?

Each ambulance has a paramedic, an assistant and a trained driver

Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa on Thursday said that the company will now provide an “ambulance in 10 minutes” through the app which will help to curb medical aid distress in the cities. Albinder Dhindsa said that in the initial phase, five ambulances will be on the road in Gurugram starting today. The service will be available at a flat fee of Rs 2,000.

The service is already available in Haryana's Gurugram. "Profit is not a goal here and we will operate this service at an affordable cost for customers and invest in really solving this critical problem for the long term,"Albinder Dhindsa said on social media platform X.

"We are carefully scaling this service up, as it is both important and new to us. Our aim is to expand to all major cities over the next two years," Dhindsa further added in the post.

How to book ambulance service in Blinkit app:

Albinder Dhindsa further said that going ahead users will start seeing an option to book a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance through the app.

Additionally, \the ambulances will be equipped with essential life-saving equipment, including oxygen cylinders, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), stretcher, monitor, suction machine, and essential emergency medicines and injections.
