SBFC Finance leadership reshuffle: Aseem Dhru resigns as MD & CEO; Mahesh Dayani to take over role from April 1

Mahesh Dayani, who currently serves as Executive Director, has been re-designated as Managing Director & CEO of SBFC Finance.

SBFC Finance informed the exchanges on Saturday that its current Managing Director & CEO Aseem Dhru has resigned from his position and will be relieved from his role on March 31, 2026. He will take up the position of a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director designated as Vice-Chairman from April 1.

In his place, Executive Director Mahesh Dayani will take over the role of Managing Director & CEO from April 1.

Significant changes in senior management structure

SBFC Finance informed the exchanges that Dhru will step down from his position as Managing Director & CEO at the close of business hours on March 31, 2026. He will then move into the role of Non-Executive Non-Independent Director designated as Vice-Chairman of the Company, effective April 1, 2026. The transition is subject to approvals.

Dayani, who currently serves as Executive Director, has been re-designated as Managing Director & CEO of SBFC Finance. His appointment covers a five-year term running from April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2031. The company added that the appointment requires shareholder approval.

In a separate development, the company disclosed that Sai Prashant Menon, Chief Collections Officer, has resigned from his position. His resignation will take effect from January 31, 2026.
