Ashok Gupta, Chairman, Optiemus Group, added, “We’re proud to support realme’s journey as a leader in the AIoT space.

Realme, India’s fifth ranked smartphone brand, has partnered with Optiemus Electronics Ltd. (OEL) to produce 5 million AIoT devices annually, a move expected to generate over 2,000 new jobs and strengthen India’s position as a global tech manufacturing hub.

Under the partnership, Realme will manufacture its entire next-generation AIoT portfolio—including earphones, smartwatches, and tablets—locally. Production has already begun with the realme Buds T200 Lite, featuring Dual Mic AI Deep Call Noise Cancellation and DNN voice recognition technology.

The company plans to ramp up local sourcing of critical components such as PCBAs, batteries, mechanics, and chargers, aiming to build a robust domestic supply chain.

Additionally, Realme is exploring opportunities to export Made-in-India AIoT devices to global markets, positioning India not just as a manufacturing base but as an innovation hub.

Realme spokesperson said, “This partnership with OEL reflects our long-term vision to scale AIoT manufacturing in India while empowering the local ecosystem. It aligns perfectly with our ambition to meet domestic demand and establish India as a key global export base.”

Ashok Gupta, Chairman, Optiemus Group, added, “We’re proud to support realme’s journey as a leader in the AIoT space. This partnership is a step forward in shaping India’s electronics manufacturing future while generating employment and advancing self-reliance.”

With India emerging as a fast-growing market for smart devices, the realme-OEL partnership stands to make a lasting impact on the country’s tech ecosystem—delivering both scale and substance.
