Third phase of DDA luxury flats e-auction begins today

As many as 257 apartments, including two penthouses and 123 luxury flats, in New Delhi’s Dwarka neighbourhood will be up for grabs in the third phase of e-auction by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on March 5.

According to DDA officials, the auction will commence at 11 am and will also include 132 mid-segment (MIG) apartments in Dwarka’s Sector 14. The higher-income group (HIG) apartments and penthouses are in Sector 19B.

The auctioning of duplex penthouses and MIG flats will be done only on March 5, while that of HIG apartments will begin on March 5 and continue till March 7. The DDA built 14 penthouses, of which only two are left.

The reserve price of a penthouse is Rs 5 crore and for 3BHK HIG apartments it is Rs 2.05 crore. The reserved price for MIG 2BHKs units is Rs 1.2 crore.

The duplex penthouses and HIG apartments are in a high-end housing complex in Dwarka’s Sector 19B, overlooking an upcoming 18-hole golf course in Sector 24. The housing complex, with an estimated construction cost of Rs 700 crore, has 11 towers. The penthouses will also have terrace gardens, and the luxury housing complex will have “larger-than-usual green spaces”.

The authority conducted the first round of e-auction for 296 apartments on January 5, in which 274 apartments were booked, while the 707 apartments were made available in the second round on February 5.

The flats being offered are part of DDA’s Festival Special Housing Scheme 2023 under which 32,000 flats are on sale under different categories including penthouses, Super HIG, HIG, MIG, LIG (lower income group), and EWS (economically weaker section).

Penthouses, super HIG flats, and HIG flats along with MIG apartments are being offered through e-auction in different phases while the LIG and EWS flats are being allotted on a “first come first serve” basis, officials said.
