Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has bought two apartments in Mumbai's Oberoi Sky City for Rs 9.75 crore, documents accessed by Zapkey showed. This comes after his son Abhishek Bachchan paid Rs 16 crore for six luxury apartments in the same project on May 6.
The documents accessed by Zapkey show that Amitabh Bachchan, also known as Big B, bought both apartments, which sprawl 1094 sq ft, for Rs 3.39 crore each.
The seller is Incline Realty Private Limited and the transaction occurred on May 29.
Sky City is an integrated living development across 25 acres in Borivali East which also consists of eight luxury residential towers and the premium Sky City Mall spanning over 1.5 million square feet.
Previously, Vikas Oberoi, chairman and managing director of Oberoi Realty Limited, told Moneycontrol that it had entered into an agreement with Marriott International for the development of two Marriott properties, JW Marriott Hotel Thane Garden City and Mumbai Marriott Hotel Sky City in Borivali, to be completed by 2027-28.

Mumbai recently saw several large-ticket real estate deals in the luxury real estate segment. On June 25, actor Aamir Khan acquired an apartment in Mumbai's Pali Hill for Rs 9.75 crore.
On June 20, Amitabh Bachchan purchased three office units in the Veer Savarkar Signature building in Mumbai for around Rs 60 crore. These office spaces are located in the Signature Building, off Veera Desai Road in Andheri West area of Mumbai.
Additionally, on June 3, actress Triptii Dimri, known for roles in films like Animal, Bulbbul, and Qala among others, bought a luxury property in Mumbai's Bandra West for Rs 14 crore.
