OYO-parent Oravel Stays is set to accelerate the expansion of its premium hotel brand, SUNDAY Hotels, with plans to reach 100 properties globally by the end of the next financial year.
Currently operating in 10 countries, including India, the UK, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam, SUNDAY Hotels focuses on the four-star and five-star segments. The brand was launched in May 2023 as a joint venture between SoftBank Group and Oravel Stays.
SUNDAY Hotels debuted in India with a property in Jaipur and has since expanded to key cities such as Vadodara, Chandigarh, and Gurugram. Oravel Stays currently operates 13 SUNDAY Hotels across India.
“There are 30 SUNDAY Collection hotels already open across 10 countries, and the company is planning to ramp up expansion in FY26, targeting 100 hotels across these regions,” an Oravel spokesperson told PTI.
The brand’s global expansion began in August 2024 with the launch of SUNDAY Holiday International Hotel in Dubai, followed by the SUNDAY Lansbury Heritage Hotel in the UK.
“The rapid expansion of SUNDAY Hotels across key markets has been driven by strong consumer demand and strategic partnerships,” the spokesperson added.
The initiative is part of Oravel Stays’ broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the premium hospitality segment worldwide.
