NAVs end mixed amid volatile market

Equity Mutual Funds showed slight recovery after a dismal performance for five consecutive days. Funds belonging to broader market like Index and Large cap emerged as the star performers while categories like Small & Mid Cap and Diversified Equity continued to be under pressure.

Sectorwise, FMCG and Technology closed in green while all other sector categories succumb under market pressure.

The market session ended with Sensex 31.87 points down to close at 19627.95 and Nifty ended at 5959.20 up 2.30 points.

In the Fixed Income space, Long and Short term funds maintained stable performance ahead of release of inflation numbers next week.
