Mother Dairy has announced a price hike of up to Rs 2 per litre on various milk variants, effective April 30, 2025.The revised prices will be implemented across Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttarakhand.
“This price revision has been necessitated to address the significant increase in procurement costs, which have gone up by Rs 4-5 per litre over the past few months," the Mother Dairy official said.
The rise in procurement prices is mainly due to the early arrival of summer and ongoing heatwave conditions, which have affected milk production and supply, the official said.
The revised prices will be applicable across all markets where Mother Dairy operates.
Mother Dairy supplies approximately 35 lakh litres of milk daily across the Delhi-NCR region through its outlets, retail stores, and e-commerce platforms.
“We remain committed to ensuring the consistent availability of quality milk to consumers while supporting the livelihoods of our farmers," he said.
This price change is only a partial adjustment to cover the increased costs, with the goal of balancing the interests of both farmers and consumers, the official said.
Under the new pricing, bulk vended toned milk in Delhi-NCR will now cost Rs 56 per litre, up from Rs 54 per litre.
Pouched full cream milk will be priced at Rs 69 per litre, compared to the previous Rs 68 per litre.
Toned milk (pouched) will rise to Rs 57 per litre, up from Rs 56, and double toned milk will now cost Rs 51 per litre, an increase from Rs 49.
The price of cow milk will go up to Rs 59 per litre, from Rs 57 per litre.
